Over the last year the flow of water in the shower room basin was getting really very slow. I thought the tap was the problem but to check – before i ordered a new tap – i disconnected the supply pipe and the flow from the pipes to the tap was good.
Fortunately i spotted the nozzle on the end of the tap had a lot of deposits on it. The nozzle unscrews from the end of the tap so i removed it and soaked it in vinegar.
Replaced the nozzle and supply pipework to the tap and tested. All was good with a great flow of water now restored.
So if the flow of water in the taps seems to be slow …. first check the nozzle isn’t blocked on the end of the tap before you go to the expense of buying a new tap.
