Thought it was time i checked the procedure if i were to get a puncture whilst on the road.
I knew there was a special way if lowering the spare wheel from it’s under body cradle. Once i found the winch box (as i call it) it was just a simple matter of turning the handle and the wheel lowers to the ground. You just have to reach under the van to drag it out. Whilst I had access to the wheel I took the opportunity to give it a thin coat of waxoyl.
The trickiest part of the procedure – especially in the dark – would be locating the winch box so i painted it white.
Certainly recommend you do this on your drive way before the real thing on the side of a busy road our in the middle of no where.
