MODS – Aux Socket fitting to radio

One of the problems with the earlier Peugeot cd/radios is that there is no auxiliary to plug and iPod our iPhone into to play music.
I have tried an fm transmitter device but the sound quality was poor and with interference.
I finally bought an fm modulator that plugs into the aerial socket at the back of the radio providing a direct hard wired input on a specific wavelength to tune one of the radio channels to. There is plenty of space behind the radio to locate the modulator out of sight.
I found an auxiliary socket on ebay that also has an independent on/off switch to switch the modulator on when I plug in my phone.
I now get excellent sound quality through the radio system and very pleased with the results.
