A simple safety measure is to add a reflector to the inside of the driver and passenger doors – assuming one is not fitted as standard. When parked on the side of a road this provides a more visible indicator to approaching drivers that a door is opening.
These reflectors are cheap and easy to fix – just make sure that they are thin enough to fit in the door gap.
