It’s really down to personal preference where you have the tv. We use the original mounting location when in transit but on site we prefer it as far forward as poss so it can be seen from the kitchen area. Also makes it easy to view while we lay back on the bench seats or on the bed without the tv feeling like it is on top of us.
Bought another tv mounting plate similar to the original vids ebay. The bracket is strapped around the headrest posts making a sturdy location – easy to set up and remove.
